For the course of Collaborative Evaluation of Interactive Systems taken in Aalto University, we had to conduct a research on the OP Financial Group case study.
The main goal was evaluating the usability and user experience of OP's onboarding process, focusing particularly on international students opening a bank account in Finland.
For this project we utilized heuristic evaluation, user testing and a collaborative workshop with both end users and a team of designer from the company.
The heuristic evaluation focused on identifying usability issues using Nielsen’s heuristics, while the user testing part focused on navigating the becoming a customer process from information search to completing the form. The collaborative workshop gathered feedback from OP representatives and the end users to refine and produce ideas to the found issues.
Key findings highlighted issues with navigation, document clarity and form usability. Recommendations included improving link functionality, branch selection tools, and information structuring. Overall, the project provided actionable insights to enhance OP’s customer onboarding process for international students.
